Tom grew up in Spokane and went to school in Seattle graduating from the University of Washington with a degree in economics. Post graduation he spent four winters as a full time ski instructor at Lake Tahoe and a fifth winter skiing the Austrian Alps. He then returned to Spokane and learned the commercial real estate business. During those seven years Tom was exposed to all product types of commercial real estate developing a broad based knowledge of the discipline.

Always wanting to live in Southern California, Mr. Koss relocated to San Diego and joined the downtown San Diego office of CBRE (known as Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate at the time). Tom specialized in investment brokerage with a focus on multifamily. During that time period he enjoyed a productive career and forged long term relationships within the brokerage community that he still utilizes today. After spending nearly a decade at CBRE he left to start his own finance and brokerage firm with a primary focus on residential lending.

Most recently, Tom has been brokering institutional quality real estate and working with developers to provide equity, arrange financing and market their properties for sale. He has also been active in providing private money, bridge financing as well as consulting services to investors and entrepreneurs.
